$10.7 Million to Help Oregon’s Low-Income Communities

EUGENE, Ore. – On Tuesday Senator Ron Wyden and Senator Jeff Merkley announced that Oregon will receive $10.7 million in federal funding to help the low-income population during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Oregon’s most vulnerable communities are among the hardest hit by this pandemic,” said Merkley.

The funding is part of the supplemental Community Development Block Grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Oregon has yet to determine how they will distribute the funding.
