“Sexual harassment and assault are never acceptable, no matter when or where they happened. Today’s account warrants an Ethics Committee investigation, as Senator Franken has called for. It is important that we all work together to create a climate that empowers women to come forward and share their experiences with sexual harassment and assault so that those who have perpetrated these acts can be held accountable and that we can change our culture to put an end to predatory behavior.”
