Families can’t function without basic, essential water and electricity, and while there have been some local moratoriums on utility shutoffs—aren’t we all America together? Instead of a patchwork where some communities get relief and others don’t, we should be standing together. This is just one urgent need of the American people that Senate Republicans are ignoring. I challenged Senate Republicans to help people, not just their corporate friends, but they said no.
