PORTLAND, Ore. — Senator Jeff Merkley joined KATU for a “Connect to Congress” interview on Thursday (February 10) to discuss several things facing Americans.
Among the topics discussed, the senator spoke about the rising inflation rates, especially when it comes to everyday items like groceries and gas.
He tells us that lawmakers are looking at what they can do to keep costs down.
“The past administration’s done things like tap a special petroleum reserve when world price per barrel of oil goes skyrockets,” Senator Merkley said.
