Portland, OR- Oregon’s Senator Jeff Merkley released the following statement after the confirmation of Amanda Marshall as United States Attorney for the District of Oregon by unanimous consent.
“Amanda Marshall brings important experience and impressive skills to the job of U.S. Attorney for Oregon. As a children’s advocate and a prosecutor, she will be a fair but tough enforcer of federal laws in the State of Oregon.
“I thank Dwight Holton for his hard work as Acting U.S. Attorney while this position has been vacant the last two years. He has filled in ably and has laid the groundwork for a smooth transition.”
